Kristin Tan specializes in advising clients on employment matters, including weighing their needs against federal and state laws and company culture, drafting and reviewing policies and procedures that impact various types of employees, and working on issues and claims related to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Washington State Human Rights Commission.
She also specializes in reviewing, drafting, and counseling on employment contracts and agreements.
- Drafted organizational policies and procedures that directly impacted essential and health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and advised organizational leaders on how to successfully navigate the challenges of working from home, accommodations, and various environmental issues that emerged during this time.
- Lowered organizational costs by serving as an in-house attorney, notably lowered the amount of cases on their docket, settling cases that would have resulted in expensive and lengthy litigation, and created robust training programs for over 4,000 staff.
