Lauren Otto’s practice focuses on employment and labor matters as well as business and commercial litigation.

Lauren possesses over a decade of courtroom experience and has honed her skills to zealously defend employers and businesses in all aspects of labor and employment disputes, including pre-litigation negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, state and federal litigation proceedings, and before administrative agencies. Lauren’s practice includes defending clients against claims of workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, unfair labor practices, wage and hour claims, as well as other general tort claims. Lauren is detailed-oriented, responsive, and prides herself on making genuine connections with her clients through frequent communication and personalized interactions.

Lauren started her career as a court-appointed criminal defense attorney in Placer County, California where she gained vital experience in a demanding environment over the course of five years.

Prior to joining GRSM, Lauren practiced business, employment, and other general civil litigation at the largest law firm headquartered in Central Pennsylvania where she worked as part of an employment litigation team securing several victories for employer clients through successful motions for summary judgment in both state and federal cases.  Lauren maintains active licenses in California, Pennsylvania, and Florida although her current practice focuses on serving clients in California.

Outside of her legal practice, Lauren enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, and traveling with her husband and Australian Shepherd.
