Magbis Sanchez’s practice focuses on providing litigation and advisory services for the maritime industry. Magbis has experience with cases involving wrongful death, general torts, collisions, seaman and maritime worker injuries, contract disputes, property damage, insurance coverage, cargo claims, environmental damage, and product liability. Magbis is currently pursuing an L.L.M. in Maritime Law at the University of Miami. She practices in state and federal court, Office of Administrative Law Judges, federal, and Arbitration.

Magbis also has experience providing services to the national defense and private security industry and defending Defense Base Act cases brought by employees under U.S. government contracts involving personal and psychological injuries occurring in U.S. military bases abroad. She also handles the defense of sexual assault and sexual harassment cases.

Magbis’ tenacious litigation skills and ability to simplify and explain complex issues have led to successful strategies and favorable outcomes for clients. She is actively involved in community affairs and volunteers her time and expertise among various local and national organizations. Magbis is an elected Governor on The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors representing the interests of approximately 30,000 lawyers under the age of 36 in Florida.

While in law school, Magbis interned for the Honorable Migna Sanchez-Llorens at the 11th Judicial Circuit Court and at the City of Miami – Office of the City Attorney. Additionally, she participated in a study abroad program, taking classes in international and comparative law in Sevilla, Spain.
