Marti Worms focuses her practice on all aspects of employment law and has significant experience in commercial litigation, ranging from discovery and other pre-trial litigation to representing clients at arbitration and trial.

Marti’s diverse legal background also includes teaching first-year law students as an Adjunct Professor of Law at William & Mary Law School, where she created curriculum on professional identify development, cross-cultural competence, and the elimination of bias in the law. She has also been an avid speaker and presenter on leadership and professionalism from her role as the Assistant Dean for Career & Professional Development at the University of San Diego School of Law.

  • Drafted bench memoranda, proposed orders and opinions for the Court’s review and issuance in parties’ discovery disputes on motions to compel, for protective order, to seal and for sanctions.
  • Managed civil docket and workflows on the Court’s internal Electronic Case Management system for more than 250 civil cases under federal jurisdiction including habeas corpus and civil rights.
  • Secured complete dismissal of action for client, Ford Motor Co., on summary judgment motion.
  • Associate trial counsel for defendant General Motors in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, which resulted in a jury verdict for the defense.
