Mary Williams focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and appeals. She has experience defending consumer financial services providers, insurance, and products liability clients, as well as individuals against civil RICO and fraud claims. Prior to becoming a litigator, Mary had extensive experience in regulatory affairs, as a lobbyist and legislative aide, including drafting and negotiating industry-specific rules and regulations and developing cohesive legal and legislative strategies for a broad range of clients.
- Won appeal on dismissal for communications provider client against negligence claim pending before the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
- Navigated multiple settlements of consumer financial product claims in failed solar-panel installation claims nation-wide.
- Achieved settlement mid-trial for tech-product client in breach of contract, fraud, and unjust enrichment case pending in the District Court of South Carolina.
