Matthew Trejo focuses his practice on commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. He has extensive experience in federal and state courts at all stages of litigation, including preparing and responding to pleadings, discovery, summary judgment, trial, post-trial motions and appeals.
- Successfully tried a copyright infringement case through to a verdict in the Central District of California and was one of the lead attorneys on post-trial motions. He was the lead author for the opposition to plaintiff’s motion for attorneys’ fees for nearly $1M, which the court denied in whole.
- Handled copyright infringement case in the Central District of California that settled on the second day of trial.
- Secured a complete dismissal on summary judgment of a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a major national franchisor alleging involvement in a scheme to hide assets from a creditor.
