Matt Pietsch is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex litigation, with a particular depth of knowledge and experience in the areas of professional liability defense, insurance coverage, real estate, not-for-profit religious organizations and education law. His clients include insurers, manufacturers, lawyers, real estate and title agents, financial institutions, national religious organizations, and local businesses. Matt has served as lead counsel in Tennessee state and federal courts, both at trial and on appeal, including cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

In the area of insurance coverage, Matt has advised insurers on an array of matters, including bad faith, professional liability and commercial coverage, and defended insurers in state and federal courts.  He has successfully defended professional liability cases brought against realtors, title agents, attorneys, school officials and religious leaders.

Prior to entering private practice, Matt served as an Assistant State Attorney in West Palm Beach, Florida, and as an Assistant District Attorney General in Nashville, Tennessee.
