She also represents employers before state and federal agencies, including the Department of Labor Standards Enforcement, the California Civil Rights Department, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Drawing on prior in-house experience, Maureen provides employers with practical guidance on workplace issues and emphasizes preventive strategies to reduce litigation risk. She advises employers on hiring and termination matters, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, workplace violence prevention, litigation avoidance, and compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements.

Having begun her career in Silicon Valley, Maureen advises businesses across numerous industries, including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, and technology, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

An experienced speaker and educator, Maureen has developed and presented training programs on the prevention of harassment and discrimination, reductions in force, alternative dispute resolution, wrongful termination, privacy compliance, and other labor and employment law topics.
