Megan D. Weiss

Senior Counsel

Megan joined GRSM after practicing with state and federal agencies, focusing on employment law.  Megan has significant experience in federal and state employment actions, including defending employee disciplinary actions, defending federal agencies against and investigating allegations of employment discrimination, and providing training to management on best practices with respect to taking disciplinary actions and administrative investigations into employment misconduct and discrimination allegations.

She has successfully defended employment actions before the California State Personnel Board, Merit Systems Protection Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and arbitrations.  As part of an elite group of federal investigators, Megan has investigated a variety of formal discrimination complaints within the Department of Defense, from sexual harassment allegations to denials of religious and medical requests for accommodation. A trained mediator, she has served both as a neutral mediator and as an advocate for her clients, focusing on ‘make sense’ settlements.
