Megan Stacy is a North Carolina native and a Partner in the firm’s Raleigh office. She has a decade of experience managing all stages of litigation including pre-suit negotiations, pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, motions practice, and jury trials. Megan’s experience includes litigating both commercial and general liability cases including product liability, construction defect, real property, and commercial contract and business torts. Her product liability experience includes representing manufacturers of generators, building supply materials, appliances, and temperature sensors. In her construction defect work, Megan represents developers, manufacturers, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals.  

Megan has tried cases in both State and Federal Courts. Her recent representative trial experience includes a March 2023 defense verdict (including a finding of no negligence) after a week-long jury trial in a transportation lawsuit where she represented a transportation company and its driver. In recent years, she has also obtained a favorable ruling in a childcare facility negligence case on behalf of the facility and its director, a defense verdict in a commercial contract case on behalf of a shipping company, and a judgment in favor of her manufacturing client in a business tort case.

In her general liability practice, Megan has represented clients in premises liability cases and design professionals in professional liability cases. She also has experience representing childcare providers in civil lawsuits and administrative actions.

In her commercial contract and business torts practice, Megan has represented companies of all sizes in business disputes including breach of contract, trade secrets, unfair trade practices, tortious interference, fraud, and veil piercing.
