Michael J. Choi’s practice focuses on defending corporate clients in toxic tort and product liability litigation, primarily in cases arising out of asbestos exposure. He also has experience representing clients in matters involving general tort liability and contract disputes.

Michael uses persuasive writing and oral advocacy to posture cases for summary judgment or early resolution in complex litigation matters. He brings to GRSM extensive experience in toxic tort and product liability litigation, including his ability to quickly grasp product manufacturing, uses, and labeling, as well as client operations to evaluate liability and valuate exit strategies at the outset of litigation.

Michael has experience at every stage of litigation up to trial—from initial pleadings, removal, and motions to dismiss to offensive and defensive discovery and motion practice, as well as settlement negotiations. His holistic approach weaves critical facts and legal analysis together, providing unique perspectives that benefit all phases of his cases.

Michael is a Bay Area native and presently resides in Hercules, California. Away from work, Michael is an avid rock climber and enjoys running half marathons and Spartan Races.
