Michael Kruppe has 39 years of experience in litigating and trying cases. Having previously built an insurance defense firm from the ground up, he is skilled in defending and protecting his clients’ interests in jury trials while maintaining an eye on reining in expenses allowing a productive litigation process. He has successfully tried to verdict substantial risk catastrophic, death and personal injury cases in venues throughout California.
- Represented clients in a three-week wrongful death trial alleging negligence in a motorcycle versus limousine accident. Plaintiff sought more than $11,000,000 in damages in closing argument and the jury returned a defense verdict after only 45 minutes of deliberation.
- Defended substance abuse treatment organization against wrongful death claims arising from freeway death of client who exited vehicle on freeway during transport to facility with verdict reflecting lack of any significant negligence.
- Instrumental in helping develop widespread usage of Graves Amendment defense for Global Car Rental company in its California litigation.
