Michael R. Ayers’ practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and liability defense with an emphasis in the areas of insurance coverage, construction defect, Carmack Amendment and large property loss subrogation, product liability claims, contract disputes and personal injury matters. He has represented major fast food chains, fire protection system designers and manufacturers, and some of the largest insurance companies in more than 24 states.
- Served as outside general counsel assisting with all issues involving the companies including contract negotiations, litigation disputes, labor and employment issues and risk management.
- Handled and defended class action lawsuits in the Federal District Courts of Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada.
- Construction defect defense of contractors, subcontractors, and engineers in Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada.
- Managed and litigated approximately twenty to thirty complex commercial litigation, class actions, consumer finance (FDCPA, TCPA, and FCRA defense), medical marijuana, employment and construction defect cases throughout Arizona, including in the Gila River Tribal Court, Nevada, and in the Federal District Court of Colorado and Utah.
