Nicole’s practice is focused on employment law and related litigation. She represents employers in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the New York City Commission on Human Rights. Nicole has experience defending against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and trade secret misappropriation.
- Defended a mass media company against employment discrimination and retaliation claims brought under the Equal Pay Act and42 U.S.C. § 1981. Successfully obtained dismissal of all claims.
- Successfully obtained injunctive relief on behalf of a dating services company to enjoin a former contractor from using or disclosing the client’s confidential information or trade secrets.
- Defended Canadian wood coatings company in a case involving claims of unfair competition, tortious interference, and trade secret misappropriation. Successfully defeated the plaintiff’s motion for injunctive relief and obtained a dismissal of the complaint in its entirety.
