Nicole’s practice is focused on employment law and related litigation. She represents employers in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the New York City Commission on Human Rights. Nicole has experience defending against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and trade secret misappropriation.

In addition to her litigation practice, Nicole regularly counsels clients on a broad range of workplace issues, including wage-and-hour compliance, employee classifications, terminations, and the development and enforcement of employee handbook and policies. She takes a practical and proactive approach to helping clients navigate complex employment laws, reduce risk, and maintain productive and compliant workplaces.

Nicole also has experience advising on employment issues in corporate matters including conducting due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. She helps clients assess and manage potential risks throughout the transactional process by identifying key legal and business issues, as well as reviewing corporate records and material agreements.

  • Defended a mass media company against employment discrimination and retaliation claims brought under the Equal Pay Act and42 U.S.C. § 1981. Successfully obtained dismissal of all claims.
  • Successfully obtained injunctive relief on behalf of a dating services company to enjoin a former contractor from using or disclosing the client’s confidential information or trade secrets.
  • Defended Canadian wood coatings company in a case involving claims of unfair competition, tortious interference, and trade secret misappropriation. Successfully defeated the plaintiff’s motion for injunctive relief and obtained a dismissal of the complaint in its entirety.
