Omar Rafiq’s practice involves litigating complex products liability and commercial actions in federal and state courts throughout the U.S.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as Assistant District Attorney at the Queens District Attorney Office where he was assigned to the Felony Trial Bureau prosecuting violent felonies including attempted murder, firearms, gang violence and narcotics trafficking. He successfully prosecuted hundreds of major felonies.

Prior to the District Attorney’s Office, Omar worked at the New York City Police Department (NYPD) as a police officer. Omar was assigned to the Chief of Department where he administered the Ceasefire program and conducted audits of active investigations.

In law school, Omar gained experience through an internship with Judge Connie Gonzalez, in Queens Family Court as part of the Sonia and Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program. During law school, Omar was elected as the trial training coordinator for the New York Law School Trial Team.
