Patrick Moran is Co-Managing Partner of the Chicago office. Patrick is a business litigator whose practice focuses primarily upon professional liability, cyber and employment defense matters. He regularly defends professionals, including entrepreneurs, executives and managers, in administrative and civil proceedings throughout the Midwest.

In connection with his representation in employment litigation, Patrick represents employers in claims involving discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation. He also frequently advises and counsels employers on personnel policies and harassment investigations.

Patrick represents employers and executives in connection with post-employment issues and has litigated in courts and arbitrations claims involving defamation as well non-competition and non-solicitation.  He successfully counsels executives on matters relating to their compensation agreements and provides counsel for departing executives to allow for maximum career opportunities.

Patrick also represents national franchisors in litigation concerning breach of contract actions, intellectual property disputes, trademark infringement and violation of non-compete agreements. He has additionally successfully counseled his clients in the breakup of franchises when litigation posed too much cost or risk.
