Peter T. Patsakis focuses his practice on oil, gas, energy, and real estate matters. Peter has drafted title opinions in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania advising clients on issues affecting energy development, including unitization, force pooling, applicability of dormant mineral statutes, fractional interests, legacy leases, deed interpretation, and title wash issues.

Prior to joining GRSM, Peter worked at a regional firm where he managed sophisticated real estate transactions from initial contract negotiations through closing, including drafting and reviewing purchase and sale agreements, lender documentation, deeds, and related transaction documents. He has also assisted large energy clients in drafting land use agreements, acquisition agreements, and settlement agreements, and provided solutions to complex legal issues involving title matters and regulatory compliance related to energy development.

Peter previously served as in-house counsel at a leading energy company, assisting in the development of natural gas operations, title curative matters, lease review, and transactional due diligence. He has prepared and reviewed a wide range of commercial agreements, including operating agreements, joint venture agreements, nondisclosure agreements, mortgage collateralization documents, and Uniform Commercial Code financing statements. This experience informs his ability to navigate complex land use and development transactions.
