Presley L. Plummer

Associate

Presley Plummer’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, as well as environmental and toxic tort litigation. She represents a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in high-stakes matters involving product liability, toxic exposure, and wrongful death.

Her experience includes defending claims related to asbestos, cosmetic talcum powder, and other widely used commercial products. Presley is actively involved in all phases of litigation, including drafting responsive pleadings and dispositive motions, managing discovery, conducting extensive document review, and preparing for trial.

In addition to her toxic tort and product liability work, Presley has developed significant expertise in transportation litigation. She routinely defends transportation brokers in both intra-state and interstate matters, addressing complex issues such as limitation of liability, negligent hiring and retention, vicarious liability, nondelegable duties, regulatory compliance, and accident reconstruction. Her familiarity with the operational realities of the transportation sector allows her to craft legal strategies that are both effective in court and aligned with business needs.

Presley is particularly known for her sharp investigative instincts and ability to uncover critical facts that shape favorable case outcomes. Her strategic, detail-oriented approach has led to successful resolutions in numerous complex matters. Most recently, she secured summary judgment on behalf of a transportation client in a contested liability case, an outcome that eliminated the need for trial and protected the client from substantial exposure.

Presley earned her J.D. from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she excelled academically and served in several leadership roles. She was a member of the Executive Boards of the Student Bar Association, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and Help Save The Next Girl. She was also awarded Certificates of Merit in Constitutional Law, Business Organizations, and Legal Ethics in the Digital Space as a result of earning the highest grade in her class. During her final year of law school, Presley completed a year-long in-house legal externship with KB Home, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, gaining valuable experience in corporate legal operations.

Presley’s practice is defined by rigorous analysis, strategic execution, and a client-centered focus. She brings a practical, results-driven mindset to every matter and is committed to delivering outcomes that serve both legal and business interests.
