Rebecca R. McCusker focuses her on representing employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters, including claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and executive misconduct.

Rebecca defends employers against claims brought under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD), the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and federal and state wage and hour laws. She litigates matters in both New Jersey state and federal courts and regularly coordinates with employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) carriers on litigation strategy, reporting, and resolution. Rebecca advises clients from pre-suit counseling and internal investigations through motion practice, mediation, and trial.

In addition, Rebecca represents attorneys, financial professionals, insurers, architects, engineers, real estate professionals, and other licensed professionals in professional liability matters. She also represents physicians, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, nurses, attorneys, and other licensed professionals in regulatory and professional licensing matters. Her experience includes responding to licensing board complaints, defending clients in investigations and disciplinary proceedings before state licensing boards, and advising professionals on regulatory compliance and issues affecting their licenses and ability to practice.

Prior to joining GRSM, Rebecca served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Steven J. Polansky, P.J.Cv., in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. During her clerkship, she gained extensive experience in civil motion practice, complex case management, and judicial decision-making.
