Rachel Nordhoff is an Associate in the Employment and Healthcare groups in the Nashville office of GRSM. She is also a member of the Commercial Litigation, Life, Health, Disability & ERISA, and Construction practice groups. Hailing from Franklin, Tennessee, Rachel earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and she previously practiced as an associate at a respected Nashville defense firm.

While at Loyola, Rachel showcased her dedication to the legal field through a variety of experiences. She worked as a law clerk with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington DC, where she delved into the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and its implications for both corporate online application processes and Federal employment laws. In her final semester, she externed with Justice Michael Hyman at the Illinois First District Appellate Court. At the same time, she served as a law clerk for the Uniform Law Commission, contributing to proposed updates to Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Her academic prowess was recognized when she earned the prestigious CALI Award for her performance in Legal Writing III.

Before embarking on her legal journey, Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago. Following her undergraduate studies, she embarked on an International Relations Fellowship in the Middle East, combining her interests in education, language and archaeology. She then returned to the United States and worked at the White House in the Executive Office of the President.

As a dedicated member of the legal community, Rachel is actively involved with the Nashville Bar Association. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, diving into a good book, and most recently completed the transformative journey of walking the Camino de Santiago.
