Robert M. Bodzin is a Partner in the San Francisco office of GRSM and Northern California Commercial Litigation Practice Group Leader. Robert also has substantial experience defending Class Actions, Directors & Officers and Shareholder Litigation and Product & General Liability Litigation. He successfully tries, mediates, and arbitrates complex litigation cases on behalf of businesses and individuals and he has done so in both California and New York for 30 years.

Trial, Litigation & Counseling

  • Manages and defends a variety of commercial transactions, class actions and contract disputes, including those arising out Consumer and Employment Class Actions, California Unfair Business Practices Claims under Business and Professions Code Section 17200 and 17500, the Consumer Legal Remedies Act and those which assert breaches of fiduciary duties by directors, officers, business partners and LLC members.
  • Draws on his extensive experience as a trial attorney at jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts, and provides strategic advice and consulting to large corporations, small businesses and individual clients on prospective litigation avoidance. Robert also functions as local counsel in California state and federal court litigation and provides guidance and expertise to attorneys and clients nationwide.
  • Trial counsel for large corporations, small businesses and individual professionals in business litigation matters, transportation/trucking injury and business disputes and complex catastrophic personal injury/wrongful death/emotional distress cases.
  • Successfully defended and resolved multi-million dollar arbitration claim and simultaneously represented over twenty real estate professionals on claims of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty.
  • Represents financial software company defending California state and federal class actions and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act cases.
