Marciella Sanford

Associate

Before joining the firm, Marciella clerked for the Honorable Michael P. Tribe at the Idaho Court of Appeals. Prior to that, she served as a floater clerk for each member of the Court while predominantly writing opinions for then Chief Judge Jessica Lorello and Judge John Melanson (Ret.), gaining valuable insight into appellate practice.

Marciella coaches recent law school graduates preparing for the Bar exam. She also works as an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho College of Law, Boise. While in law school, Marciella was a member of the National Moot Court Team, President of the Latino/a Law Caucus, class representative for the Student Bar Association, a McNichols Moot Court Competitor and a recipient of the Diversity and Human Rights Award. Marciella also worked as an intern for the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, further expanding practical litigation skills.

Prior to law school, Marciella worked as an elementary educator and a counselor at the National Flight Academy. During her free time, Marciella enjoys coaching a team for the high school Mock Trial Competition, spending time with her family, reading books, and walking her miniature schnauzer Annie.
