Simran Thiara defends clients in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on business disputes, intellectual property matters, and bad faith litigation. Her practice includes contractual disputes (such as breach of contract and fiduciary duties), business tort claims, privacy claims, trademark and copyright infringement, and patent litigation.

Prior to attending law school, Simran graduated from University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics and two minors in Professional Writing and Political Science.

Simran later earned her Juris Doctorate from University of California Hastings, College of the Law. While attending law school, Simran served as an editor of Hastings Business Law Journal and the following year, served as the Executive Notes Editor. As a law student, she was a law clerk for a San Francisco law firm and worked in-house at a financial technology company. Simran also had her student note published in Volume 19 of Hastings Business Law Journal.
