Simran Thiara defends intellectual property claims arising from disputes of trademark, copyright, and patents. Simran also represents insurance carriers in coverage and bad faith litigation, dealing with issues such as breach of the duty to defend or duty to indemnify.

Prior to attending law school, Simran graduated from University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics and minors in Professional Writing and Political Science.

Simran later earned her Juris Doctorate from University of California Hastings, College of the Law. While attending law school, Simran served as an editor of Hastings Business Law Journal Volume 18. The following year, Simran served as the Executives Notes Editor of the Hastings Business Law Journal Volume 19. As a law student, she interned as a law clerk in a San Francisco law firm and worked in-house at a financial technology company.
