Stephanie F. Jones is the incoming Chief Operating Partner of the firm (effective June 2026) and a nationally recognized litigator whose practice spans employment law, professional liability, complex commercial litigation, class actions, product liability, and toxic tort matters. Licensed in Illinois, Wisconsin, and California, Stephanie brings a blend of multistate experience and cross-industry insight to the defense of companies, executives, insurers, and professionals facing high-stakes disputes.

Stephanie is known for her direct, strategic approach: she partners closely with clients, learns their business, identifies risk before it becomes exposure, and drives matters toward efficient, results-oriented outcomes. Whether navigating multi-plaintiff employment actions, defending professional service providers, litigating nationwide product liability claims, or untangling intricate business disputes, she delivers clarity, command, and momentum in the most challenging environments.

She regularly represents employers, decision-makers, agents and brokers, and companies of all sizes in litigation before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts nationwide. Her experience includes defending class and collective actions, wage-and-hour disputes, discrimination and retaliation claims, catastrophic product liability matters, and environmental and toxic tort cases. She also counsels clients proactively on compliance, risk mitigation, and litigation-avoidance strategies.

In addition to her practice, Stephanie has held significant leadership roles within the firm. As former Co-Managing Partner of the Chicago office, she helped grow it into one of the 25 largest law firm offices in Chicago and one of the firm’s largest nationwide. She transitioned from that role in 2025 to focus full-time on client service and to assume a seat on the Firmwide Management Council, where she will oversee national operations and contribute to the firm’s long-term strategic direction.

Stephanie has been widely recognized for her professional achievements. In 2020, she was honored as one of Illinois’ “40 Under Forty” Attorneys to Watch by Law Bulletin Media, selected from more than 1,500 peer nominations statewide.

Stephanie earned her J.D., cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School, where she served as a staff editor of The John Marshall Law Review, an Associate Barrister with the Trial Advocacy & Dispute Resolution Honors Board, a teaching assistant, and President of the Corporate Law Society.

She received her B.A. in Law & Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she was a member of the NCAA Division I Women’s Swim Team, a peer advisor, and President of the Mortar Board honor society.

Outside the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
