Suzanne Yurk focuses her practice on healthcare litigation and civil defense, drawing on more than 23 years of experience handling complex healthcare disputes and enforcement matters.

Suzanne brings extensive first-hand government experience from her service with the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she served as a Senior Litigation Attorney in the National Complex Litigation and Investigations Division. In that role, she handled high-stakes healthcare litigation and investigations, including enforcement actions and appeals before administrative law judges, the HHS Departmental Appeals Board, and federal courts.

Earlier in her career, Suzanne served as a Regional Attorney in the Philadelphia Regional Office of HHS and spent a year as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles, representing the U.S. Government in civil litigation in district court and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She also counselled healthcare providers on state and federal regulatory matters.

At her prior firm, Suzanne defended long-term care facilities, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers against wrongful death, medical malpractice, and related claims in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts.

Suzanne works closely with clients to develop pragmatic litigation strategies, with an emphasis on simplifying complex healthcare issues for judges and juries and identifying opportunities for early resolution.
