Timothy R. Annick

Associate

Timothy Annick comes to GRSM following a first career in marketing and global product strategy at Toyota and Volkswagen. Tim has gained comprehensive experience in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, analyzing risk, and communicating legal exposure to stakeholders in private industry.

Tim completed two summer internships in U.S. Department of Transportation regulatory agencies, the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). While with NHTSA’s Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance, he collaborated across multiple federal agencies to create a legal strategy addressing the importation of noncompliant and unsafe vehicles into the United States. While with the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Office of Chief Counsel, he authored memoranda detailing the agency’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) withholding privilege and participated in FHWA’s experimental federal congestion mitigation tolling program.

In his pre-law automotive industry career, Tim engaged with federal safety regulations and participated in cross-functional risk assessments related to vehicle design, performance brand strategy and marketing, and emerging electrification technologies. He also contributed to the global product development team contributing US-market product planning and sales strategy for electric vehicles at Volkswagen and hybrid electric vehicles at Toyota.

Locally, Tim is a dedicated supporter of the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), previously serving as a representative trustee on the Board of Trustees and as a Co-Chair for the Dallas Museum of Art Junior Associates. He currently sits on the DMA’s Development Committee. He is also involved in the Texas Rovers Land Rover enthusiasts’ club.
