Todd C. Simonson

Senior Counsel

Todd C. Simonson is Senior Counsel in the San Diego office of GRSM, specializing in commercial litigation. With extensive experience in state and federal courts, Todd has successfully handled complex commercial matters for companies of all sizes and individuals alike. His diverse civil litigation background, encompassing both plaintiff and defendant representation, combined with his strong business acumen, equips him to deliver effective and tailored legal solutions for his clients.

Todd has a proven track record of advocacy and defense, consistently achieving favorable outcomes. Before joining GRSM, he practiced transactional law, representing owners and landlords of large shopping centers and mixed-use developments. Later, he transitioned to litigation, dedicating nearly a decade to representing shareholders, investors, and retirement funds in class action securities cases, including mortgage-backed securities litigation. Todd’s practice has since expanded to include representation of major banks, loan servicers, and foreclosure trustees in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. He has also advised and represented major retailers, lenders, and automotive companies in creditor’s rights matters. His comprehensive litigation expertise spans all stages, from case initiation and discovery to motion practice.

While earning his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, Todd served as a research assistant to a leading expert in corporate finance and white-collar crime. He contributed to the publication of Infectious Greed: How Deceit and Risk Corrupted the Financial Markets, further solidifying his knowledge in financial and corporate law.
