Alissa H. Samuels is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gordon & Rees where she is a member of the Employment practice group, as well as the Life, Health, Disability, and ERISA practice groups. Ms. Samuels’ practice primarily focuses on defending clients against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, violations of FMLA/CFRA, wrongful termination, failure to accommodate, and breach of employment contract. She also regularly counsels employers on day-to-day employment issues, including policies and procedures, hiring, termination, workplace investigations, leaves, overtime compensation, disability, and litigation avoidance practices. Ms. Samuels also litigates claims related to health care providers, including claims made under ERISA.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Samuels practiced at a prominent international law firm with a specific focus on managed care, civil False Claims Act liability, and healthcare-related white collar investigations.
