Amanda A. King is a Partner and aggressive trial attorney with nearly a decade of courtroom experience. She practices in the New Jersey office of GRSM and is a member of the Professional Liability practice group. She handles lawsuits at the state court, federal court, and appellate court levels on behalf of her clients. She has trial experience to jury verdict in New Jersey Superior Court. Amanda represents clients in a broad variety of professional liability matters including legal malpractice, medical malpractice, nursing malpractice, engineering malpractice, architect malpractice, wrongful death, employment, civil rights violation, and related class action defense.
 
Amanda has an impressive track record throughout her carrier of obtaining complete dismissals of lawsuits on behalf of her clients through dispositive motion practice and aggressive discovery. These wins include complete dismissal of a class action lawsuit claiming multi-million dollar damages on behalf of students of a college that moved to online-only learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, complete dismissal of a multi-million dollar lawsuit resulting from a fire that destroyed multiple beach front properties despite the fact that the fire originated on the client’s property, complete dismissal of a medical malpractice lawsuit against a rehabilitation facility wherein the plaintiff suffered an acute kidney injury requiring lifetime dialysis where damages exposure exceeded one million dollars, complete dismissal of a legal malpractice matter involving a dispute over the disbursement of an airplane during divorce proceedings, complete dismissal of an architect malpractice matter involving a dispute over hundreds of thousands of dollars that arose during the construction of a local school’s outdoor sports facility, as well as numerous other early dismissals of lawsuits where she filed dispositive motions immediately in response to the complaint and obtained complete dismissals which allowed clients to avoid incurring legal fees and costs beyond the initial motion practice.
 
Amanda is a trailblazer in her area of practice and has lectured in front of insurance professionals and attorneys on topics such as telehealth, enforcing arbitration provisions in nursing home negligence lawsuits, direct and cross examination of expert witnesses during trial, and the life of and successful defense of professional liability matters. She prides herself on keeping her insurance clients informed on developments in the law and new legal issues impacting the defense of their insureds.
 
Prior to joining GRSM, Amanda was Of Counsel at a regional law firm, representing clients in professional liability, medical malpractice, class action, civil rights, product liability, dram shop, construction accident, construction defect, and general liability matters. She previously worked as a trial attorney for a global insurance carrier where she litigated general liability and construction accident cases from inception through conclusion in the New Jersey Superior Court. During law school, she participated in Temple University’s nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Program. 
 
Amanda resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with her family.  She is an avid comedy fan and a self-proclaimed “foodie.” She is also involved in the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Diversity Committee at GRSM.
