Clay Alspaugh is an Associate in the New York office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Product & General Liability practice group. Mr. Alspaugh’s practice involves litigating complex products liability and commercial actions in federal and state courts throughout the U.S.
Following law school, Mr. Alspaugh was an associate at a firm in Birmingham, Alabama where he gained significant courtroom exposure representing corporate and individual clients in commercial, real estate, and general liability disputes. Mr. Alspaugh has handled several lawsuits from pre-litigation phase through trial, and, in several cases, through appeal.
In law school, Mr. Alspaugh gained experience with federal litigation and class actions through an internship with the Honorable L. Scott Coogler in the Northern District of Alabama and clerkships with several Alabama law firms. He also was a member of the Law and Psychology Review and the president of the Business Law Society. While an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University, Mr. Alspaugh majored in both Economics and Philosophy, and he spent a summer studying Corporate Law and Governance at the London School of Economics.
