Candice S. Nam is a litigation associate at the Los Angeles office of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, focusing her practice on commercial litigation, franchise law, and torts/products liability litigation. Specifically, Ms. Nam represents corporations and franchisors in commercial disputes involving breach of contract, unfair competition, and misappropriation of trade secrets. Ms. Nam also defends helicopter and general aviation actions, as well as manufacturers in wrongful death and personal injury actions involving claims of product defects and negligence. As part of her practice, Ms. Nam has experience litigating matters to trial, and preparing and arguing dispositive motions.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Nam represented small to mid-size businesses in all aspects of business litigation in federal and state courts, and successfully second-chaired a jury trial that resulted in the dismissal of a multimillion-dollar claim against her clients.
While attending the UCLA School of Law, Ms. Nam was Chief Managing Editor of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal, one of two journals in the United States focused exclusively on the legal, social, and political issues affecting Asian Pacific American communities. She was also a Certified Law Clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, and handled felony preliminary hearings.
