Chris Raney is a trial lawyer that has litigated cases throughout Texas over the past 20 years. He has tried cases to judges, juries, and arbitrators in state and federal courts. He is a relentless advocate for his clients who treats every case as if it will go to trial. While recognizing that every case may not go to trial, Chris prides himself on exploring creative solutions to resolve matters efficiently to achieve his clients’ objectives.
In addition to his robust trial practice, Chris maintains a significant insurance docket handling both first and third-party matters for many of the largest insurers in the world. Chris provides coverage advice to his insurer clients and defends them in litigation against bad faith and other extracontractual causes of action.

- Tried case on behalf of directors of nonprofit corporation against claims of breach of fiduciary duty and self-dealing to favorable jury verdict (Laredo, 2022)
- Served as member of trial team in defense of Fortune 100 medical device manufacturer against claims of negligence and wrongful death that resulted in a favorable jury verdict after a 7-day trial (Houston, 2019)
