Eve Bacanskas is an Associate in the Denver office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Insurance practice group. Ms. Bacanskas has a diverse litigation background and focuses her practice on first-party and third-party insurance defense. She represents both regional and nationwide insurance carriers in disputes with homeowners, commercial property owners and auto insureds. She has also litigated cases involving contractual disputes, catastrophic injury, products liability, and wrongful death. She has experience with state and federal courts in over a dozen different states.
Ms. Bacanskas manages an active caseload, handling cases from inception through trial. As part of her practice, she performs extensive investigation and analysis of claims, defenses, exposure to liability, and avenues for risk assessment. As part of numerous defense trial teams, she has helped prepare key personnel and witnesses for depositions and trial testimony, and actively drafted key pretrial and post-trial motions. Ms. Bacanskas has also served as monitoring counsel for excess insurers. She worked with primary carriers, recommended strategies, and kept the clients continuously apprised of key developments in multi-million-dollar potential exposure cases.
