Biography

Hannah E. Engle is an Associate in the Denver office of GRSM and is a member of the Employment Law practice group. Ms. Engle’s practice focuses on effective case resolution both in and outside of the courtroom, involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination under Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, CADA and other federal and state statutes. Ms. Engle has experience in state and federal court including initial and responsive pleadings, motion practice, and drafting and responding to discovery. Ms. Engle also advocates for clients at the administrative level with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other state agencies and received favorable determinations or dismissals in seven administrative charges in 2022.

In addition to advocacy, Ms. Engle is a trained mediator and uses this insight to negotiate favorable outcomes for her clients. She provides general employment advice throughout her client relationships and works to proactively address areas of potential risk.

Prior to joining GRSM, Ms. Engle was a law clerk for the Utah Attorney General’s Office in the Litigation Division and interned with the Colorado State Personnel Board and a small employment and civil rights firm. Prior to and during law school, Ms. Engle worked at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the Business & Licensing Section where she gained valuable practical exposure to litigation in state and administrative court. Ms. Engle also spent over eight years working for the Denver Police Department Records and Identification unit in various positions involving the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC) systems, the Colorado Bureau of Investigations system, and state motor vehicle systems. This experience gives Ms. Engle additional insight into matters involving police contact, police investigations, and criminal histories and records.
