Jeffrey P. Valacer is a civil litigator and an associate in the firm’s New Jersey and New York offices. He handles complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court, representing a diverse group of major corporations, secured creditors, closely-held businesses, partnerships, government entities, and individuals in a broad range of commercial disputes.
Mr. Valacer has considerable experience handling litigations involving general commercial claims, secured creditor claims, shareholder disputes, business torts, and directors and officers claims. Mr. Valacer has assisted secured creditors in obtaining provisional and equitable remedies to assert their rights and protect their interests. In addition, he regularly defends businesses in employment matters, including claims regarding retaliation, discrimination, and harassment. Mr. Valacer also has experience defending companies in class actions arising under consumer protection statutes.
Mr. Valacer was also an intern for the Superior Court of New Jersey and the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General in the Department of Law’s Government and Healthcare Fraud Unit while in law school.
