Jennifer K. Gilman is Senior Counsel in the San Diego office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Employment practice group. Ms. Gilman represents employers in defense of lawsuits involving wage and hour, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, breach of contract, and other employment-related matters.  In addition to employment law, Ms. Gilman’s experience includes litigating personal injury cases, civil rights and constitutional law claims, wrongful death cases, automobile collisions, dangerous condition/premises liability cases, trip-and-fall cases, and mass tort/class action cases.

Ms. Gilman has litigated cases in both Federal and State Court and obtained results that have set legal precedent in the State of California. In addition to her experience as an aggressive trial attorney, Ms. Gilman has argued before Division One of the Fourth District Court of Appeal for the State of California and has also briefed appellate cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which were decided without oral argument on the merits of the briefing. In addition to her litigation experience, Ms. Gilman has attended and advantageously resolved cases in mediation, arbitration, Early Neutral Evaluation Conferences, and during informal settlement negations.

Ms. Gilman is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association Legal Ethics Committee. She has published articles on the topic of legal ethics and has presented legal education courses to attorneys in the San Diego area. She was formerly appointed as Special Deputy Trial Counsel by the State Bar Board of Trustees’ Committee on Regulation and Discipline and served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at California Western School of Law and Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California.
