John "Chip" Clay is senior counsel in the Louisville office of Gordon & Rees, where he routinely applies his technical training and engineering background to deliver niche representation for the construction industry and its members. In particular, Mr. Clay draws on his practical experience as a construction field engineer to assist those specialty subcontractors who supply fabricated structural steel and machinery for our nation’s heavy civil and industrial infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Mr. Clay proudly served the Commonwealth of Kentucky as staff attorney in the chambers of Judge Debra Hembree Lambert of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, Third District. Since that time, he has also reinforced his commitment to practicing at the dynamic intersection of science and law by earning admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a registered patent attorney.
