Julia Whitelock is a Partner in Gordon & Rees’ Commercial Litigation, Consumer Protection Litigation, Advertising & E-Commerce, Intellectual Property, and Class Action practice groups. Ms. Whitelock has, as lead or second-chair counsel, successfully resolved both small and multi-million dollar cases, including serving as lead counsel in a jury trial that resulted in a judgment in excess of $1 million dollars for her client and serving as lead counsel in a federal court bench trial that resulted in a defense judgment that was affirmed on appeal. Ms. Whitelock has defeated class certification in consumer-related cases in Maryland circuit courts and has settled individual and class consumer-related actions in federal court.
Ms. Whitelock advises clients on consumer protection, online advertising, and intellectual property laws and resolves, prosecutes, and defends against lawsuits and arbitration actions. She has experience representing businesses and individuals in consumer protection, intellectual property, online advertising, accreditation, breach of contract, fraud, construction, negligence, employment, class actions, and appellate matters. Her clients represent a diverse range of industries, including professional services, consumer financial services, e-commerce, education, community association, franchise, real estate, construction, technology, non-profit, and health care. She has also provided EEO investigation services to various federal agencies.
