Hot List - Southwest Region, Lawyers of Color (2014) - Recognizing early-to mid-career attorneys excelling in the legal profession.

Paul Saxon Guerriere is a partner in the Dallas office at Gordon & Rees. He is an experienced member of trial teams in complex multi-district civil litigation. Mr. Guerriere handles multiple cases for several clients in state, federal, and MDL courts across the country and is responsible for all aspects of litigation from inception through dismissal, settlement, or trial.

Mr. Guerriere has participated in all phases of litigation including written discovery, forum non conveniens motions, depositions (including trial cross examination of plaintiffs, witnesses, and plaintiff experts), summary judgment and adjudication motions, motions in limine, motions to strike, trial preparation and court appearances.

Mr. Guerriere has acted as trial counsel in cases from Portland, Oregon to Chicago, Illinois to Houston, Texas. He has also acted as local counsel in New Mexico for various clients, and is a member of national coordinating counsel teams in environmental and toxic tort litigation for a major manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks and a major energy conglomerate. Mr. Guerriere has also trained, prepared, and defended several corporate representatives in complex high-stakes depositions.

The day after Mr. Guerriere was sworn in as a licensed attorney, he was in a courtroom arguing and defending the rights of a client. From that day forward, he has brought the same excitement, passion, and enthusiasm to protecting the interests of his clients as he did that day as a newly minted lawyer. His clients are not just companies, but organizations made of people he has built relationships with. People who he cares about providing with results they can be proud of.

In his spare time, Mr. Guerriere enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. On most Saturdays in the fall, you can find them at TCU football games, where they are long-time season ticket holders. In the winter and spring, Mr. Guerriere also closely follows the UNC Tar Heels’ basketball team.
