Philip Barrett is an Associate in the Denver office who is a part of the Employment, Commercial Litigation, Consumer Protection, and Environmental/Toxic Tort practice groups.

Mr. Barrett represents his clients in state and federal court litigation, including throughout the administrative process. In particular, Mr. Barrett has represented clients in disputes involving state wage and discrimination laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, state and federal OSHA whistleblower laws, state consumer protection laws, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, homeowners’ association disputes, non-competition clause issues, mass tort litigation, chemical exposure allegations, and premises liability and construction liability issues.

Mr. Barrett tailors his representation to the needs of the client and has achieved early resolution on several matters, from outright dismissal to successful alternative dispute resolution. In addition, Mr. Barrett works with clients to implement effective case strategy from pre-litigation stages through trial and appeal to achieve desired results at various phases. Mr. Barrett also engages in legal consultation of clients outside the litigation process for different needs, including counseling on discrimination and harassment issues, classification of employees, compliance with state and federal employment regulations, hiring and termination processes, disciplinary issues, and development of policies.
