Sara B. Kohgadai is an Associate in the San Francisco office of Gordon & Rees and is a member of the Product & General Liability practice group.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Kohgadai worked in a small law firm in Silicon Valley. Her experience includes working on an array of legal and procedural issues in the areas of personal injury, landlord-tenant disputes, federal aviation, and insurance “bad faith” claims.
Ms. Kohgadai took advantage of studying law in the nation’s capital by engaging in a number of internships and externships. She was a judicial intern in the Chambers of the Hon. Judge Yvonne Williams in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia and interned for a large international immigration firm. Ms. Kohgadai started her career in litigation as a student attorney in the American University Civil Advocacy Clinic—one of the country’s top clinical programs.
Outside of work, Ms. Kohgadai enjoys creative expression through photography, video, and writing. She provides pro bono legal services to affirmative asylum petitioners with the East Bay Sanctuary Covenant and is Co-Chair to the Bar Association of San Francisco Pro Bono and Community Service Committee. Ms. Kohgadai enjoys language learning and is highly proficient in Spanish and conversational in Afghan Dari, which she speaks with her family.
