Sonia Chen is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of GRSM, where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to joining GRSM, Sonia handled variety of cases in business ligation, general liability, and medical malpractice. She has counseled individuals and businesses in various facets of litigation. Ms. Chen also gained insights in litigating international disputes while representing foreign nationals.
Sonia obtained her J.D. from Southwestern Law School. While in law school, she clerked at the Sunrider International Corporation, Office of the General Counsel of the Los Angeles Unified School District, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, in the White Collar Crimes Division. She served as the Academic Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and participated in international law summer programs at the University of British Columbia and the University College of London. Sonia received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine. She was a member of Sigma Iota Rho, the International Studies Honors Society, and also worked as a wealth management intern at Merrill Lynch.
Sonia is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversational in Spanish and French.
