Tanya is a litigator with extensive experience in all aspects of state and federal civil litigation, including trials, appeals, mediations, and arbitrations. Tanya has experience trying jury and bench trials and has handled over one hundred arbitrations.

Tanya started with Gordon & Rees’ Portland office in 2009, spent a couple of years as an in-house trial attorney for one of the country’s largest insurance companies, and re-joined Gordon & Rees in 2016.
Tanya was also a member of a two-attorney team that served as general counsel for a large manufacturer, which included managing litigation and supervising local counsel in hundreds of cases throughout the United States. She regularly advises clients in risk avoidance and early resolution of disputes and frequently secures favorable settlements for clients through mediation and informal negotiations.

Tanya enjoyed the distinction of being one of the youngest members ever appointed by the Oregon Supreme Court to serve on the Oregon State Board of Bar Examiners, which was established in 1913 and is charged with evaluating all applicants’ qualifications to practice law in Oregon. She started with the Board of Bar Examiners in 2005, was a Board Member from 2008 – 2014, and served as Chair from 2011 – 2012. She is also active in the Pacific Northwest tennis community and endeavors to compete in at least one national-level event every year.
