Gordon & Rees Continues to Climb Annual Lists of Top U.S. Law Firms

In the just-released NLJ 350, National Law Journal’s annual survey of the largest U.S. law firms, Gordon& Rees logs in at 83.  Since the firm first appeared on the survey in 2003 at 186, it has steadily advanced more than 100 spots and has consistently been recognized as among the fastest growing law firms in the nation. This year, the firm was featured as one of the top two in terms of largest percentage upward change in lawyer headcount.

Gordon & Rees’s strong year also manifested itself in its ranking on The American Lawyer’s Am Law 200 list of the nation’s top-grossing firms as well as its Diversity Scorecard, moving up five spots in each list to 126 and 21, respectively. Over the past ten years, the firm has climbed 50 spots in the Am Law 200 and nearly 150 on the Diversity Scorecard.  All three surveys were released this month.

“We couldn’t be more pleased about our continued expansion,” remarked Dion Cominos, Firmwide Managing Partner.  “But most importantly,” he added, “the growth has not occurred for its own sake but instead to allow us to best service our clients on a national stage with outstanding legal professionals and staff.”

Over the past 10 years, lawyer count at the firm has grown by 230 percent, the number of offices has grown from eight to 35, and the firm’s national, regional, and local practices have quadrupled — all without merging with other firms or incurring any long-term debt.

Winning results, diverse lateral talent, cost effectiveness and the utmost level of responsiveness have helped Gordon & Rees achieve its long-term goal of becoming a national, full-service firm with offices in strategic locations key to its clients and their businesses.

Gordon & Rees serves clients of all sizes, across a diverse range of industries.  The firm has more than 650 lawyers located in 35 strategically positioned offices across the United States. The firm has been recognized on the "BTI Client Service A-Team" survey for the past three years and has been honored as a "Go-To Law Firm" for Fortune 500 companies as well as selected for inclusion on Corporate Counsel magazine's 2014 "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies" list. Law360 has ranked Gordon & Rees among the top 100 national law firms for female and minority attorneys.
