Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Los Angeles partner Brenda Radmacher has been elected to serve on the Associated General Contractors' (AGC) 2018 Board of Directors for the Los Angeles District. Radmacher is the second Gordon & Rees partner to be elected to serve as a Director on an AGC district Board. Partner Rosemary Nunn is currently a Director on the Orange County Board and has served on this Board since 2010.

The Associated General Contractors is governed by a State Board of Directors. Locally, each District is governed by its own Board of Directors. In addition, members serve on a variety of committees which address industry issues. AGC is an organization of construction firms and industry-related companies committed to improving our physical environment through our commitment to the principles of Skill, Integrity and Responsibility. Associated General Contractors of California Member Services provide industry leading advocacy and service in Legislative Advocacy, Labor Relations, and Legal Services.

Radmacher's practice emphasizes resolving complex construction disputes through negotiation, mediation, and, when necessary, arbitration and litigation, on projects in California, nationwide, and internationally. She frequently addresses claims involving breach of contract, construction and design defects, liens, delays and impacts, construction defects, bonds and insurance issues (including among others, general liability, builder’s risk, professional liability and subcontractor default insurance), and represents many of the nation’s largest contractors and developers in the commercial, multifamily, and residential markets. She has substantial experience in building envelope, water infiltration and mold-related claims, having counseled clients with respect to hundreds of such matters. Radmacher has defended all types of cases including mass actions and class action claims, defending residential homebuilders, commercial contractors, and design professionals.

Nunn has represented owners, developers, design professionals, contractors and subcontractors on numerous and varied public and private projects. She counsels clients through every aspect from contracting to litigation, including: early assessment and minimization of liability exposure and risk; cost-effective dispute resolution; project counseling to work through claims and disputed change order requests; strategy development for crafting a winning defense or prosecution; negotiating payment on projects with distressed parties, funding or bankrupt entities; and litigating cases through resolution via mediation, arbitration, or trial. Construction projects at issue have included multiple-story parking structures; underground pipeline systems; luxury hotels, both ground-up and renovation projects; airport construction; concrete demolition, cutting and pouring for a utility company; resort construction and upgrades; geothermal power energy plants; Army barracks and associated campus; light-rail projects; community colleges; landscaping on public works; a large grocery-store chain's warehouse and distribution center; LAUSD renovations; micro-tunneling under a large river bed; and multiple residential developments (homes, condos and townhomes).
