Kira joins the Phoenix office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She has experience litigating complex construction defect matters representing national homebuilders by participating in the PDA process. She represents carriers and their insureds in various insurance defense matters to include automobile claims, premises liability, construction defect litigation, bad faith litigation, contract disputes, and personal injury. She has also represented clients in a variety of legal matters including contract disputes, administrative complaints, product liability, warranty claims, real estate, landlord-tenant disputes, commercial general contractors and subcontractors, premises liability, and legal malpractice. Kira earned her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and her B.A. from Jamestown College.
Nathan joins the San Diego office as a member of the Employment practice group. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Nathan practiced at another local San Diego law firm where he focused on defending major automobile manufacturers and distributors in consumer warranty protection actions in both state and federal court. Nathan earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School and his B.A. from Pepperdine University.
Drew joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Construction practice group. He has 17 years’ experience defending complex mass toxic tort personal injury claims based in products, premises, and contractor liability. He manages all pre-trial litigation and discovery including substantial fact and witness investigation and lead cross-examination in trial-preservation depositions. He has appeared before federal, state and administrative tribunals for oral argument in contested hearings regarding same. Drew earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law and his B.A. from California State University, Chico.
Jeffrey joins the New York office as a member of the Employment practice group. He represents employers in litigation in state and federal court on employment-related claims including discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract and claims arising under the ADA. Jeffrey earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Dartmouth College.
Raymond joins the Orange County office as a member of the Tort & Product Liability practice group. He is a seasoned litigator with more than 25 years of experience in California courts. He is an accomplished trial attorney who regularly represents Fortune 100 companies and other large multinational corporations. His practice focuses on products liability litigation, mass torts, catastrophic personal injury cases, and employment actions. Raymond earned earned his J.D. from the University of British Columbia and his B.Com. from Simon Fraser University.
Charlotte joins the San Diego office as a member of the Employment practice group. Charlotte earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law and her B.A. from San Diego State University.
Kristina joins the Denver office as a member of the Health Care practice group. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Kristina served for eleven years as Career Law Clerk to the Honorable Michael E. Hegarty, United States Magistrate Judge, at the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. In this role, she conducted research and drafted proposed orders and recommendations for dispositive matters in all areas of law over which the court had jurisdiction. In addition, she assisted Judge Hegarty in the resolution of various pretrial matters, including discovery disputes, and in the facilitation of alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including settlement conferences and early neutral evaluations. Kristina earned her J.D. from University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and her B.A. from Chapman University.
Sylvia joins the Los Angeles office as a member of the Insurance and ERISA practice groups. Sylvia earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School and her B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.
Heather joins the New York office as a member of the Employment practice group. She counsels employers facing suits brought by current and former employees, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, EEOC charges, Florida's Private Whistleblower Act, Florida Civil Rights Act, etc. In addition to litigation, Heather has provided opinions as to whether certain employment relationships may be properly treated as independent contractors. She has also conducted audits for clients to determine compliance with various federal labor statutes, which she uses to create a plan for compliance and assists clients with implementing same. Heather earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.S. from the University of Florida.
David joins the Portland office as a member of the Tort & Product Liability practice group. He has represented a wide range of clients in disputes across a variety of practice areas. He joined the firm from a large multinational law firm in Dallas, Texas, where his clients included energy companies, health care providers, schools, small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and state government entities. His representations have included business torts, contract disputes, civil rights, and class actions. David has first-chaired three jury trials and appeared in multiple hearings in state and federal court. David earned earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from Lewis & Clark College.
Stephen joins the Boston office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He has experience representing clients throughout all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts. In 2017, Stephen served as the second-chair attorney for two wrongful death trials, both resulting in verdicts for his client; successfully defended an appeal of a motion to dismiss before the Massachusetts Appeals Court; and obtained summary judgment in his client’s favor in two wrongful death actions. Stephen earned earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and his B.S. and B.A. from Providence College.
Annette joins the Sacramento office as a member of the Employment practice group. She defends employers in employment litigation, such as claim for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and FMLA/CFRA violations. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Annette provided general and coverage counsel services for public educational entities and provided guidance to resolve questions regarding the rights and duties of insureds and insurers. Annette earned earned her J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
Jason joins the Westchester office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He has represented hospitals, hedge fund financing companies, municipalities, an Ivy League university, and companies of different sizes in various types of complex litigation. His diverse litigation practice has included shareholder derivative suits, class actions, cases involving unfair and deceptive trade practices, breach of contract, disputes involving restrictive covenants, LLC member disputes, complex and multi-district litigation and premises liability. Jason is a former Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Office of Corporation Counsel. He has successfully defended the City of New York, its composite agencies and employees in the Brooklyn Tort Unit. Jason earned earned his J.D. from Pace University School of Law and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Cortland.
Allison joins the Houston office as a member of the Tort & Product Liability practice group. Allison earned earned her J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law and her B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.
Pamela joins the Los Angeles office as a member of the Employment practice group. She concentrates her practice on litigation and counseling in all aspects of employment, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She represents corporate and business organizations, nonprofit and charitable entities. In addition, Pamela defends clients, at both the federal and state level, in class actions involving wage and hour, misclassification, discrimination, Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) and unfair competition claims. Pamela earned earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.S. from Duke University
Probal joins the Orange County office as a member of the Tort & Product Liability practice group. He is an experienced litigator with hundreds of successfully-settled cases under his belt, as well as several trials to verdict and binding arbitrations. He defends major corporations in personal injury actions, and defends landlords in landlord-tenant disputes. Specializing in the defense of environmental claims, Probal has defended a wide array of subcontractors and design professionals, and has significant experience with other civil actions, including but not limited to the representation of HOAs and other groups and individuals. Probal earned earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
