Gordon & Rees Welcomes Ten New Attorneys in Seven Offices Nationwide in March 2018

In March, Gordon & Rees welcomed ten new attorneys to our Boston, New Jersey, New York, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco offices. They join us as members of the Commercial Litigation, Costruction, Employment, and Insurance Practice Groups.

Michael Burke, Associate
Boston, Commercial Litigation

Michael joins the Boston office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Michael’s litigation experience includes taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses, managing discovery, and arguing pre-trial motions. Within his general business litigation practice, he focuses on matters involving complex financial disputes, intellectual property, and trade secrets. Michael earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his B.A. from Providence College.


Jonathan Connolly, Associate
San Diego, Employment

Jonathan joins the San Diego office as a member of the Employment practice group. He has experience in all phases of litigation including initial case evaluation, discovery, and extensive law and motion practice. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Jonathan represented both employers and employees in discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, and wage and hour disputes. Jonathan earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Missouri.


Catherine Delorey, Senior Counsel
San Francisco, Construction

Catherine joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Construction practice group. She has many years of experience aggressively resolving disputes through negotiation, arbitration, and litigation with a “hands-on” approach in addressing client concerns. She has experience representing contractors on a number of legal issues facing the construction industry, including: differing site conditions, nondisclosure, delays and acceleration, liquidated damages, termination, extra work, payment and retention withholdings, and bid protests. Catherine earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park.


Daniel Holsenback, Partner
San Diego, Commercial Litigation

Daniel joins the San Diego office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He brings over 25 years of legal experience as a civil trial lawyer and in-house counsel to his practice. He is experienced in mediating disputes in areas ranging from real estate to intellectual property, business and insurance disputes, and personal injury. A Gray Cary-trained, AV-rated attorney, Daniel has tried more than thirty cases before juries, judges, and arbitrators, with representation equally split between plaintiff and defense. Daniel earned his J.D. from the University of California Davis, School of Law, King Hall and his B.A. from the University of Puget Sound.

New Jersey, Commercial Litigation

Stephanie joins the New Jersey office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Stephanie earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her A.B. from Princeton University.


Brian Maschler, Partner
San Francisco, Commercial Litigation

Brian joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He handles a variety of complex, commercial litigation matters, including securities class actions, RICO, antitrust, intellectual property, contracts and business torts, as well as employment, ADA and white collar criminal defense. He also specializes in class action defense. Brian has substantial experience defending complex securities, RICO, antitrust and regulatory compliance matters in civil litigation and governmental investigations. Brian earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan and his B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley.


Daniel O'Shea, Associate
Sacramento, Employment

Daniel joins the Sacramento office as a member of the Employment practice group. He focuses his practice representing and counseling large corporations in a variety of matters including general litigation, tort, and contract matters and representation of banks, lenders and loan servicers in the area of consumer protection. Daniel earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.


Sarah Prager, Associate
New York, Commercial Litigation

Sarah joins the New York office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Sarah was an Assistant Corporate Counsel in the Office of the Corporation Counsel for the New York City Law Department. She was responsible for defending The City of New York against lawsuits for alleged false arrest and excessive force, civil rights violations under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, negligent supervision, premises liability, “trip-and-fall” accidents, and motor vehicle accidents. She also gained first chair jury trial experience. Sarah earned her J.D. from New York Law School and her B.A. from Muhlenberg College.


Gregory Seibt, Senior Counsel
Phoenix, Commercial Litigation

Gregory joins the Phoenix office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He has experience representing businesses, financial institutions and individuals with issues relating to contract, business torts, major collections and general commercial matters, secured transactions and U.C.C. claims disputes. Gregory earned his J.D. from the University of Utah College Of Law and his B.A. from the University of Utah.


Jennifer Wahlgren, Associate
San Francisco, Insurance

Jennifer joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Insurance practice group. She represents insurance companies in matters involving coverage and bad faith litigation, including cases arising out of first party claims, third party claims and inter-insurer disputes. Jennifer’s clients include regional, national and international insurance companies. She also has experience in representing insurance companies in disputes that involve complex litigation, and has advised clients with respect to their rights and obligations under commercial general liability and property policies. Jennifer earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
