Brenda Radmacher and Nicholas Krebs Publish Article in Construction Claims Magazine

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani Los Angeles partner Brenda Radmacher and associate Nicholas Krebs authored an article published in the Spring 2020 edition of Construction Claims Magazine titled "Contemplating Compliance: AB 3018 and the Skilled and Trained Workforce Requirements."

The article details the implications of AB 3018, signed by Jerry Brown in the last legislative session, including direction for who needs to comply and new penalties for non-compliance. “AB 3018 dramatically increased the penalties for non-compliance with the existing skilled and trained workforce requirements in California.” The article also explains the requirements for skilled and trained workforces and the new conditions for demonstrating compliance in the state.

Radmacher focuses her practice in construction, real estate, and employment litigation, regularly counseling general contractors, construction managers, design professionals, contractors, and owners on contract negotiations, risk management and disputes. Her practice emphasizes resolving complex construction disputes through negotiation, mediation, and, when necessary, arbitration and litigation, on projects in California, nationwide, and internationally. She frequently addresses claims involving breach of contract, construction and design defects, liens, delays and impacts, construction defects, bonds and insurance issues (including among others, general liability, builder’s risk, professional liability and subcontractor default insurance), and represents many of the nation’s largest contractors and developers in the commercial, multifamily, and residential markets.

Krebs focuses his practice in construction and commercial litigation with a broad range of experience in real estate, hospitality, restaurant, retail, financial, medical, and entertainment industries.
