Joseph Rivera to Moderate Webinar Applying to Law School for La Unidad Latina Law Guild

Joseph T. Rivera Jr., associate in the firm’s New York office, and co-founder/current co-chair of the La Unidad Latina Law Guild ("LUL Law Guild"), will moderate a panel entitled, “Applying to Law School” sponsored by the LUL Law Guild, Dominican Bar Association ("DBA") and the Hispanic National Bar Association (“HNBA”) Saturday, August 22, at 2 p.m. Eastern. 

This free webinar will feature a panel discussion amongst various Latino attorneys about their experiences applying to law school, lessons learned and advice for those considering law school, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Panelists include a former Assistant Dean at Rutger’s University School of Law-Newark, public and private-sector attorneys, and a recent law school graduate still waiting to take the New York bar exam.

The LUL Law Guild is a membership organization dedicated to serving the Latino community through leadership, mentorship, and education within the legal profession. The DBA is a vibrant, growing organization of legal professionals and law students, that supports Latino members of the legal profession. The HNBA is nonprofit, nonpartisan, national membership organization that represents the interests of Hispanic legal professionals in the United States and its territories.

Rivera is an associate in the Torts & Liability practice group where he focuses his practice on defending foreign manufacturers, distributors and retailers, including various Fortune 500 companies, in complex commercial product liability actions in federal and state courts throughout the United States and Canada.
